What is premature ejaculation? Premature ejaculation is uncontrolled ejaculation either before or shortly after sexual penetration. This happens as a result of minimal sexual arousal and before the desired time. May lead to dissatisfaction with sex for both partners. This can increase anxiety, which may make it worse. One form of male sexual dysfunction is the most common and may have affected every man at some point in his life.

What causes premature ejaculation? There is no obvious cause for most premature ejaculation. With age and sexual experience, men often learn to delay orgasm. Early ejaculation may occur with a new partner. It may only happen in some cases during sex or if it has been a long time since the last ejaculation occurred. Psychological factors such as anxiety, guilt or depression can cause it. In some cases, it may be associated with a medical condition such as hormonal problems, an injury, or a side effect of certain drugs.

What are the symptoms? The main symptom is uncontrolled ejaculation either before or shortly after intercourse begins. Premature ejaculation occurs as a result of minimal sexual arousal.

How is premature ejaculation diagnosed? Your doctor will discuss your medical and sexual history with you, and a thorough and thorough examination will be conducted. Your doctor may want to talk to your partner as well. Early ejaculation can have many causes. Your doctor may ask for laboratory tests to rule out any other medical problem.

How is the treatment? In many cases, the problem of premature ejaculation is solved by itself over time. There may be no need for treatment. Some relaxation or distraction techniques can help you delay ejaculation. For some men, stopping or reducing alcohol, tobacco or illegal drugs may help control ejaculation.
Your doctor may recommend that you and your partner practice some techniques to help delay ejaculation. For example, you may learn to identify feelings that lead to ejaculation and thus control them. You can communicate with your partner to slow down or stop sexual arousal. You can try using a condom to reduce penis sensitivity. Or you can try a different situation (like lying on your back) during intercourse. Counseling or behavioral therapy may help reduce anxiety associated with premature ejaculation.
